How XONIK uses and limits AI in its own work: on this website, in client engagements and in what we publish.

This website calls no AI service. Its assessments and calculators are rule-based and run in your browser. Our rules for AI in client work and in published material are set out below.
What this policy covers
This policy is about the AI that XONIK itself uses. It does not give advice on a client's AI, which is the subject of our advisory work, and it does not cover the products we are building, which will publish their own terms. It is read with the Data and AI Governance policy.
This website
The website does not send what you type to any AI service. Enquiry forms, the newsletter and the waitlists store what you submit and email it to us, and a person reads it. The assessments, calculators and template tools are rule-based: they apply scoring rules that are published on each tool's page, they run in your browser, and they send nothing to us. No tool is described as AI-powered, and none of them makes a decision about you. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling on visitors.
AI in client work
The scope of each engagement is written down before work starts, and it is the place where any use of AI in the work is described. If AI is used on a client's material, the scope says where and for what. A person at XONIK reviews AI-assisted work before it is delivered and answers for it, and a client who wants to know how a piece of work was produced can ask.
AI in what we publish
Our research, perspectives, briefings and tools are written under the name of a person, or under the name of the XONIK practice for the tools, and that person or practice answers for them. Claims of fact in published research cite a source that a reader can open.
Limits we apply
AI output is treated as a draft that can be wrong. A person answers for what we deliver and what we publish. Nothing in our work or on this site is decided by AI alone. Where AI helps to draft, summarize or analyze, a person reads the result, checks each fact in it against its source, and decides what to keep.
