AI Use Policy
How artificial intelligence may and may not be used with our website, content and services.
Last updated August 2026
This policy sets the rules for how AI may be used with our website, content and services — by us, and by you. It covers what counts as responsible use, what automated access is and is not allowed, how our content may and may not feed into AI systems, and what happens if the rules are broken. It does not set your own organisation's AI policy, and it is separate from how we handle AI on client engagements, which the Data & AI Governance policy covers.
This policy covers how AI may and may not be used with this site, its content and its services — including what may not be scraped into a model.
By accessing or using our website you agree to comply with this policy, our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with it, you should discontinue your use of our website.
Scope
This policy applies to anyone who accesses or uses:
- The XONIK website
- Online resources and publications
- Contact forms
- Downloadable materials
- Events and webinars
- Digital communications
- Future client portals, applications or digital services provided by XONIK
Responsible use of artificial intelligence
XONIK supports the responsible use of AI, including in our own work. When interacting with our website, AI-powered tools, publications or future digital services, you agree not to:
- Use our services to generate unlawful or harmful content.
- Attempt to bypass safety measures.
- Use our content to train AI systems in violation of applicable intellectual property or contractual restrictions.
- Misrepresent AI-generated outputs as official advice from XONIK.
- Use our services to facilitate fraud, cybercrime, misinformation, discrimination or other harmful activities.
We reserve the right to restrict access where AI technologies are used irresponsibly or in violation of this policy.
Automated access
Unless expressly authorised in writing, you must not scrape website content, harvest contact information, use bots to collect data, crawl the website excessively, or reverse engineer protected resources.
Reasonable indexing by recognised search engines is permitted. Reading this site — including by an AI system — is fine. What is not fine is a rate that degrades it for other people, or reproducing whole pieces without attribution.
Content and intellectual property
You may not copy substantial portions of our content, republish our publications without permission, sell or commercially exploit our intellectual property, or misrepresent XONIK content as your own. Reasonable quotation with proper attribution is permitted.
Security
You must not interfere with the security, integrity or availability of our website. That includes attempting to access restricted areas, intercept communications, modify website functionality, disable security mechanisms or introduce vulnerabilities.
If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly through our contact channels. We will not treat a good-faith report as an attack.
Monitoring and enforcement
To protect our website, users and business operations, XONIK may investigate activity that appears to violate this policy. Where appropriate we may suspend or restrict access, remove prohibited content, block abusive users or IP addresses, report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities, or take legal action.
Changes to this policy
Technology, cybersecurity threats and regulatory requirements continue to evolve. We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal obligations. The revised version will be published on this page together with an updated date.

Frequently asked questions
What does this policy cover?
How artificial intelligence may be used in connection with XONIK’s website, content and services — both by us and by anyone using them.
Can I use XONIK content to train an AI model?
Not where doing so would infringe applicable intellectual property rights or contractual restrictions. Ask us and we will give you a straight answer for your specific case.
Is automated scraping allowed?
No. Automated scraping, harvesting or excessive crawling is prohibited unless expressly authorised. Reasonable indexing by recognised search engines is permitted.
Does this policy apply to future services?
Yes. It applies to this website and to any future client portals, applications, AI-powered services or digital platforms XONIK makes available.
What happens if someone violates this policy?
We may suspend access, remove content, block abusive activity, report unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities, or pursue legal remedies.
This policy does not set your organisation's own AI use rules, and it does not cover how XONIK uses AI when delivering a client engagement — Data & AI Governance covers that separately. It does not grant any licence to XONIK's content beyond reasonable quotation with attribution; see Copyright & Intellectual Property for what is and is not permitted there.
Questions we get asked
Questions about this policy
Is the writing on this site AI-generated?
It is written by us, out of our own engagements, and edited by hand. Tools are used the way any firm uses them — for drafting and for checking. If we ever publish something drafted end to end by a model, the page will say so.
