Where the line sits
What gets published, and what does not.
Applied before anything is written rather than at review, because by review the sunk cost argues for publishing.
It gets published when:
- The method can be stated plainly — if describing how we know it makes it sound thin, it is thin
- Somebody could argue with it — a finding nobody could dispute is not a finding
- It is still true if it costs us the sale — those are the pieces worth having published
- The limits are known — and can be written before the conclusion rather than after
It does not when:
- The number came from somewhere we cannot name — an unattributed statistic is a liability that arrives years later
- A client is identifiable — including by description, which is the version people think is safe
- It is a service page in a serif font — if the conclusion is that you should hire us, it is marketing and it belongs elsewhere
- We only have one instance — one case is an anecdote, and calling it a pattern is how research loses its meaning
Research
Questions people ask
How is a Research report different from a free assessment report?
The free assessment report is short and diagnostic. A Research report goes further — full detail against every signal, benchmarks with the sample size stated, and a sequenced action plan, built for someone who has to act on it.
Do I have to pay to read these?
No — every report is free to read in full on its own page, including the finding, the method and the limits. The working material behind it — the instrument, the coding frame, the underlying data — is available on request.
Are these reports specific to my company, or general research?
General research, built from aggregated, anonymised diagnostic signal across many respondents — not a bespoke report about your specific organisation. A bespoke engagement is a separate conversation.
How often is new research published?
New reports are added as real diagnostic signal accumulates, not on a fixed publishing schedule — each one only ships once the underlying data actually supports it.
Not sure which report fits?
Describe what you are trying to decide and we will say which report actually addresses it, if one does.
